I will probably keep my blog here, since everyone knows this url, but I'll keep a collection of mini-essays on my site (thank you for urging me to do this) and will start expanding on my autobiography (inspired by Sue). Non fa niente is an expression in Italian. You hear it often as "fa niente" with the "non" understood. If you bump into somebody accidentally and say "mi scuzi" or "scuzate mi" the answer will be "fa niente". Or if your friend has just baked you a dozen cookies for your birthday, and you say "mille grazie" the answer will be, "non fa niente"--there was nothing to it. Think nothing of it. A mere bagatelle. It's a kind of mild forgiveness expression or a way of saying "no big deal" just a small favor. I also bought a domain name in French (misspelled) but I think I'll stick with the Italian. For now, there's nothing on my site http://www.nonfaniente.com until the web developer does his thing. If you go there now, all you will see is generic stuff. I'll let you know when it's up and running. Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
