As I headed to work this morning in the pre-dawn dark, the sky getting just a shade lighter with the passage of every few minutes, I wondered at all the traffic going the opposite direction.

Then I remembered that the Wednesday night exodus out of Los Angeles to visit relatives and friends and to escape the city was at its reverse: everyone was coming home, just in time, I would guess, to change clothes and go to work.

So what's the antonym for exodus? Inodus? Dictionary says influx.
