2009-12-11 7:57 AM Christmas in the Office Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (3) When we got to work this morning and unlocked the office door, we were greeted with the aroma of evergreens and the sight of a Christmas tree (aka Hanukkah bush) with pointsettia plants, Christmas cards, decorations and the stuff for a potluck.
Office decorum fell apart (it is a fragile thing at any time), with laughter and raucous conversation and off-key singing of snatches of Christmas songs. Someone has just taken a "casual" photo of another employee (wearing a Santa hat) and emailed it to us all. We obviously are not going to get much done today. That's how we celebrate the season: mess up at work, eat too much, and spend too much money. Jesus (were he alive today) would be proud.
