2010-01-26 1:30 PM Packing Up, Saying Good-Bye Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (2) Both the Manager and the Secretary are packing up, saying good-bye. It's pure chaos in here.
All the things that have been waiting for someone's attention, no matter how low in priority, have suddenly to be done, yesterday if possible, so as to leave a clean slate for the incoming manager. The secretary's position will not be filled (it's being closed by budget reductions) and so all of her duties are being parcelled out to staff (amidst floods of tears). Meaning me and the others. I'm to send and receive faxes, change the toner, clear paper jams and respond to faxed information appropriately. I'm also to answer phones, take messages, and, since I'm the person who receives the messages from the secretary for action, then turn around and respond to them, wearing my other hat. This is insane, but this is the way it is. Are we having fun yet? Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
