2010-05-22 10:08 AM Tomatoes Again Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (4) Wow, they are growing like the weeds they are closely related to (nightshade, potato, chili, bell pepper, eggplant), filled with little yellow flowers and small to marble-sized green wanna be tomatoes. If you don't believe a tomato plant is a weed, just watch it take over the garden patch.
This has been the absolutely perfect weather for tomatoes and I have been religious about watering them twice a week. They are showing their love by lunging upwards and sprawling sideways and generally being exuberant. With all the sturm und drang in my personal (caregiver) life, it is grounding and reassuring to see the rest of life continuing to respond to sun and water and fresh air. The birds are chirping, the squirrels delight in racing up and down the trees, the cats persist as always, importuning me for treats. It's a beautiful world. Enjoy!
