Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (4) The Vatican is extending the application of the rules against inappropriate attire (short skirts, shorts, sleeveless blouses) for visitors to the Basilica of St. Peter's to the entire Vatican City, including the pharmacy, grocery store, and post office. It is being strictly enforced by the Swiss Guards.
It's good to know that in a time when Bishops and Archbishops are being investigated for covering up for pedophile priests, and when those same priests continue to move freely about putting children at risk, that the Vatican has come to its senses and put its priorities straight. After all, some priestly person might be offended by the sight of skin. And as man is created in God's image, therefore offended by the image of God...wait. Do I hear a snicker out there? For shame!
