2010-10-01 3:36 PM A Setback Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (9) N's doctor just called me. He was kneeling on his bed, reaching over to pour a glass of water, and tumbled out.
Broke his clavicle and two ribs. Who the heck kneels on the edge of a bed to pour a glass of water? Wouldn't you sit on the side or stand next to the bed? Now he can't go to the community retirement home until he heals. And his ECT therapy will have to be postponed until they feel his injuries are sufficiently recovered. Certainly has provided his doctors proof (if it were needed) that his judgment is poor, and his impulsivity high. All the more reason to say he needs round the clock care. People with a streak of narcissism have trouble accepting the limitations that come with aging. Or any limitations at all. Poor guy. He's in a lot of pain.
