"Arise and shine, there are bills to be paid; arrangements to be made; the sun will soon fade; make hay in the shade."
"Nonsense," says the funloving part of my brain. "What will happen if those bills wait another week? Nothing. So what if I'll be jammed for time at the end of the week? Make hay while the sun shines." Ummm...didn't both parts of my brain just come to the same conclusion? For there to be shade, the day has to be sunny. So, a compromise. If I settle down to work in the morning, get the business arrangements made and the bills paid, then may I play in the afternoon? Sure. But no cheating, remember. (Cheating consists of putting the bills back in my purse for another day, making it look like I did something, when in effect I simply moved them from point A to point B.) Goody, goody. A fun afternoon coming up. Does it start at 11? No, nitwit. It starts after lunch. Oh. OK. Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
