Bhakti yoga, worship; Karma yoga, good works; Jnana yoga, learning and knowledge; etc. all are paths to understanding and enlightenment. Yoga is not a religion but a form of meditation for any person of any religious persuasion. It is the discipline of body, mind and spirit, for each person in his/her own way, according to his/her gifts. So the long-standing Christian discord between salvation by faith versus salvation by good works is meaningless. Hinduism reminds us that all paths, all practices undertaken with great focus and concentration, (even atheism) lead to enlightenment.
