My "To Do" list now includes spending my weekends taking him around the local care facilities for him to inspect and also I have to fill out the MediCal application ASAP, like, yesterday. In between which major tasks continuing with the full time job and living in a house being torn up for major repairs (a good thing, but majorly disruptive). A friend in San Antonio (you know who you are!) said that things were going to get harder before they finally resolved. So right he was (is)! I went to bed exhausted and slept for 10 hours, almost uninterrupted. Feeling much better this morning. These 16 hour days filled with maximum out-of-sight stressors are really hard on an old lady. I'm so grateful for sleep! I wake up the next morning, ready (sort of) to get back into harness and do it all over again. When I was younger I used to visualize myself as a racehorse harnessed to a rag picker's wagon. Not so far off the mark. However, it's a glorious spring day today. I plan to spend a few minutes outside, luxuriating in the gift. Read/Post Comments (6) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
