Some friends and I are going to Descanso Gardens today to see the camellias and tulips. Maybe have lunch at the Japanese Pavilion.

I'm not crazy about the timing--the heat, stuff going on at home--but who knew when signing up for this outing in late October what the situation would be five months later? Astonishing how much water can go under that bridge....
