My office tech came to me with a page from "Latina" magazine in which there was a numerology column by A.J. Barrera, Psychic Medium and Intuitive Counselor. May edition, page 126.

One is constantly amazed at the people and ideas that come in the office door.

This numerology was based on birthdate, the life path number, calculated by adding all the digits in one's birthdate until a single digit remains.

Then you read the paragraph associated with the number:

1: You are a leader who is independent, driven and capable of taking control of things that are thrown at you. You have a great perspective on life and a positive attitude. Trusting your instincts and being aware of what's around you is a must. On the flip side, you can be too controlling, bossy, and impatient.

My office tech says it suits me to a "T". The only quibble I'd have with it is the controlling part. My instinct is to go with the flow, relax and enjoy life; stressors evoke controlling responses from me, a defense against chaos.

Some would say that it will be as it will be, and all our efforts notwithstanding, it will all work out in the end.

I can't quite go with that, since in my lifetime I've seen chaos descend into disaster and I respond strongly by taking charge. Maybe the trick is to deal with the emergency without being too engaged (i.e., controlling).

Worth meditating upon.
