I know how much will be left in the checking account, and there is one card remaining to be paid off, but I have oral surgery coming up next week (mucho dinero!) and next Tuesday the contractor will start on the kitchen floor, hallway and stairs (mucho dinero mas!!), so I'm making only minimum payment on that last card. As I promised N, the last one to be paid off is the one with the lowest APR (Bank of America, as it turns out), solely a financial decision. If it were an emotional decision I'd go with any bank except B of A, but it wouldn't make any sense to keep active a card with 4 points more than B of A just on a whim. I'm looking forward to being able to pay it off probably in a few months, though, as all that money that I was throwing at the other cards can now be put on the remaining one. I have no other big purchases in mind, just food, utilities, cell phone and gas for the car. Maybe a TV, since the current 15-year-old model is dying.
