2011-05-07 6:37 AM Not Your Usual Weekend Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (4) Early next week my remaining floors (kitchen, hallway, stairs) will be finished, and the upstairs carpet cleaned as well. In addition to the usual errands, I am tasked with putting away small stuff, cleaning out the bookcase, and so forth, so that the furniture can be moved around for the carpet cleaners.
Not that I particularly object, but the timing is really bad, since Monday is the quarterly meeting with N's VA team to discuss his case, Tuesday a major staff meeting to discuss budget strategies, and Wednesday I'm going in for oral surgery. Maybe this is just what I need--a bunch of housework to keep me busy and distract my mind from brooding. Don't know what to do about the damn cats. Every time I open a closet door to stow things there's a cat streaking by me, wanting to investigate its depths. I'd like to keep the cats out of the closets while I work, but I don't think I'm going to be able to do that unless I lock them up in the bathroom. That would seem like punishment, though, and they haven't done anything wrong. Just annoying (and I worry about shutting them up in there). What IS their fascination with closets and cupboards all about? Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
