Good Company

The best company is people (or that special person) who are/is youthful (not in years but in attitude), lively, intelligent. For me, a relationship is built on mental stimulation as well as romantic excitement. Be witty and intelligent (and let me be that way, too) and I'm yours forever.

That said, I must admit that clingy and possessive friends/lovers are a real turn-off. If you give me my freedom and your friendship (as I give you yours), I'm loyal to the end. If you try to hang on and control me, or--heaven forbid!--play games, it's the death knell for a relationship, as far as I am concerned.

I value being friends with my companions, whether or not we're lovers. I crave verbal expressions of interest and affection, being playful and spontaneous. I'm turned off by company that is uncommunicative, lacking in spontaneity, or otherwise dull. Spend a beautiful Sunday morning talking about the monthly bills? How awful!

I know I can be a real flirt, lively, intelligent, and fun. My philosophy is that if there's no flirting, no exciting conversation, no friendship--well, then, there's no relationship. Nothing kills a partnership faster than boredom.

Hey, there, my friend. Read any good books lately? Travelled? Seen a good movie? Aggravated by politics? Let's talk.
