==>Four more weeks of work and I'm out of here. It just doesn't seem possible, and I'm getting very anxious. Major transitions are stressful, even when they are good ones. I sure hope the retirement folks send me the "Congratulations" letter soon!

That letter is the one that finishes the retirement paper process and I want it soonest, as the British say.

==>My housemate returns from the wilds of Wisconsin tomorrow. It will be nice to have someone in the house again, and she's good about respecting my need for solitude and privacy. I've given up on her ever finishing any of the projects that are three-quarters done; I don't think it's in her genes to complete anything. But that's okay. After I retire, I can review what remains to be done and start hiring people to do it.
