Let's see...on Thursday I visited the Obama re-election office in West L.A., then in the afternoon volunteered my time at our local food pantry. Lots of people, new things to see and do and learn, tiring but interesting.

Today, after doing the shopping at Trader Joe's, I visited N at the VA. Then in the afternoon/evening went to a Founders' Dinner at our UU Church, honoring both big financial contributors to the church and people who, by their volunteer work and dedication form the staffing backbone of the church.

Very nice. Of course, I knew everyone there quite well and so it was pleasant and sociable. We must have talked and visited (and eaten and drunk) for hours. Exhiliarated at the time to spend the evening with dear friends, but exhausted now. Typical of an introvert.

Looking forward to an hour or two of quiet time, then off to bed. If I try to sleep now, when I'm wired, I'll just lie there with the brain going in 15 directions at once. Far better to spend a while doing wind down stuff, then go to bed.
