2012-04-30 11:12 AM Amazon Prime Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (2) Tomorrow is the first of May and I get to choose another book to read free on my Kindle, thanks to Amazon Prime membership ($79 per year). The Kindle books I borrow run anywhere from $8 to $12 each, if I were to pay for them, so I figure over the span of a year I have more than made up for the cost of Prime membership.
And that's not counting all the free two-day shipping I've enjoyed this past year. If I had kept track of how much I saved in that area, it would amount to a lot more in terms of money not spent, and in speed of delivery. Additionally, there is Amazon's customer service, which is the best I've found anywhere. It used to be just your ordinary run-of-the-mill service until the economy tanked. Then, instead of cutting back and the heck with the customer, Amazon upgraded and improved its customer service. That's the way to do business, to get loyal customers. Yup, I think I'll stick with Amazon and Kindle. Though if an iPad2 were to land in my lap, I certainly wouldn't spurn it. (Universe? Do you hear me? I feel lust in my heart for an iPad.)
