I saw an article with the title: Not Born in the USA.

It showed the percentage, by state, of foreign-born residents (with and without documents).

California led the list at 27.2%.
New York 22.2%
Texas 16.4%
Arizona 13.4%
Louisiana 3.7%

Why the "Shame on Me"? My first reaction was that these foreign-born people were born in Mexico. Just my southern California experience speaking, I guess. For the moment, I forgot about other home countries, such as China, Great Britain, Iran, South Africa, and so forth.

My point? Any new and improved immigration legislation needs to be comprehensive, to accommodate all newcomers, not just Mexicans.
