Saw a coyote while I was walking today. It was only 3-4 blocks from my house. It exhibited a funny mixture of fear/cowardice and aggression/purposefulness. Must be why they call it The Trickster.

I whistled to it, so it would know I was there and I wouldn't be taking it by surprise. Surprising wild animals not a good idea.

Glad that I keep the cats locked up at night.
