That question brings me up short, because for a minute or two I can't think of anything I would want more of. I guess I'd increase my Long Term Care insurance to the maximum. And I'd probably buy a new car; my current Ford is eleventy years old and Fords are not known for their longevity. I'd pay off the mortgage on my house and have the exterior repainted. That's about it for myself. With the bucks left over, I'd look to support friends and relatives in tight places (think Winnie-the-Pooh in Rabbit's house), plus causes and institutions whose purpose and goals echo my own values. That would take some serious research, since everyone seems to have his hand out this year. Every year, with NPOs. But for myself? I'm already rich and truly grateful for it. I can't imagine wanting or needing more clothes, houses, yachts, jewelry, cars, servants, investments. Nor can I imagine gambling it away on the stock market. Well, yes, I can, and I can also imagine that getting out of hand, since I could have a gambling problem if I weren't very strict with myself. I learned that lesson years ago and I'll never forget it. So, more money? What would you do? Read/Post Comments (5) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
