You, my friends, who live in hurricane Sandy's path, are in my thoughts this morning. Sending you best wishes for a safe outcome.

Thinking, too, of survivors of other storms (e.g., Katrina), who may be having flashbacks. Bad memories. I still remember Hurricane Diane.

All throughout my walk this morning, it seemed a stark contrast--a beautiful sunny southern California morning--to the dark heavy clouds, disastrous high winds, rain, high tides, and the subsequent damage.

I hope you are all safe now, and get through this unscathed. Keeping you in my thoughts.
