I've promised the team that puts out the monthly newsletter that I would have the first draft done today. I've procrastinated on that task so far this morning by making the bed, taking my walk, putting a load of laundry in the washer, folding yesterday's load, setting a loaf of bread to be kneaded/baked in the bread machine, made coffee. All by 8:15.

I suppose there are other "urgent" tasks toward which I could turn my attention, but my conscience is beginning to nag at me. I did promise, after all, and it will take most of the morning to complete. Just about the time the bread is ready to turn out onto the cooling grate, the first draft will be ready to send off.

So...much as I would prefer to reminisce here about cats and catnip, bread and butter, and other interesting tidbits, I really must bid you good-bye for the nonce and tend to my editorial duties. I take my promises seriously.
