Boys just being boys; they couldn't help themselves. Celebrities (including sports figures) are shown as being specially privileged all the time. Rape is viewed as recreation. How could our justice system be so out of touch?

The pictures of the girl being carried out unconscious, naked, those pictures will disappear from the net and no one will pay any mind when she wants to get a job or a security clearance or get married. No, she will not remain anonymous forever.

She just got what she deserved, drinking with those boys.

Not only did I find the original actions tragic and shocking, I'm horrified by the media coverage following the verdict. All focused on the boys' lives being destroyed, being football players and good students somehow making them more worthy of concern than the girl they raped.
