I brought all my prescription reading glasses with me--the optometrist shares the office space with the opthamologist--because many of them are way off, having been bought years ago. Yes, I know, I can hear you saying I should have my head examined, not just my eyes, when I say "all" of them. Because, of course, he kept them to replace the lenses and now I don't have any glasses for reading, except a pair of graduated lenses which are very difficult to use for long periods of time (more than 5 minutes). Stupid things I have done--with a report due Tuesday, which I haven't written yet and now have to struggle through somehow without glasses. Perhaps I can present my report in Braille.
