They want very limited government. They advocate for an unfettered free-market capitalist economy. They talk all the time about decriminalizing drugs. They abhor the welfare system, the so-called "safety net", as undermining individual initiative. They view the public education system as a disgrace to civilization. They insist that we'd all be happier in a system with an absolute minimum of government. No taxes, no public works, no defense agencies, no government regulation of banks, food supply, insurance companies, etc. Government, as my friends would have it, should be limited to representing us as diplomatic envoys on the international stage and hands off everything else.
