No time to read the whole thing right now, but I just stumbled across this note by Paul Cornell from his Human Nature (downloadable Dr. Who e-book that inspired the current episodes):

Hurt/Comfort is a style of fan fiction where one character tends to another's physical and emotional wounds. There are a few references in this chapter to Dorothy L. Sayers' Lord Peter Wimsey and his courtship of Harriet Vane, one of the greatest romances in literature. Harriet is a major influence on Benny, incidentally. She keeps it all in.

Have got to get my mitts on this series once I get back to having a life. ;-) (I don't have cable, and my "to watch" backlog is already embarrassing, but I haven't been able to resist visiting the website from time to time, it being so pretty and nifty.)

I'm neither particularly functional nor fluent in French, other than owning a decent dictionary, so suggestions, corrections, and amplifications are most welcome. The title means "Running Around in the Sunflowers" (song by Marc Lavoine).
