6. stay up all night swapping stories with someone I haven't seen in a long time

Seven truly amazing, funny or inspiring moments/things that I've been involved in:

1. seeing the moon rising, nuclear pumpkin pie-colored, over the fields east of Vantage
2. Many Doe Bay moments
3. Making it to Gothic Basin, and then making it back down; writing and reading there a reclamation of myself and burning it, sending the ashes on the wind
4. listening to my 14-year-old niece, KB, sing plaintive show tunes, especially "Castle on a Cloud"
5. seeing children learn
6. singing "Lay Down Your Burden" one summer at Sealth while an eagle flew overhead
7. that hiking trip to Meander Meadow with my dad when I was just turning ten
