Greetings from Camp Sealth by the Sea! This is the summer camp where I spent 10 summers on staff between 1985 and now. I love it here. I could be here all the time and be happy. Well, most of the time.

I hadn't been back to work at Camp for a couple of summers, so I volunteered for a 5-day stint in the health room, which we call Medamin (meh-DAH-min). Has this place always been this much work? Major respect and accompanying props go out to Nightingale, Shamyn, Flipper, Ziploc, the Fabulous Ms. Duckie and all the other nurses or WFRs or First-Aiders who have come together to run this place. I'm whooped.

The day starts at 7am and ends about 10pm. If you're lucky, you have someone helping you. If you aren't lucky, you do it all yourself. Tonight I have help and it will be a late night anyway - there was an all-camp event, and as of 8:38 I've seen 4 of about 20 kids. And I thought I'd get a lot of sleep tonight. I won't get a lot, but I WILL sleep well.

Gotta go - those camper-jampers are on their way.
