"I do one of the least dangerous jobs in the service. I’m more likely to get run over by a forklift then get shot. We did bring our rifles but they are locked up. As for why I’m here. My boss said to go, so I did. Remember,I’m an ant. I think we are here only because of the oil, we don’t do anything in Africa when millions get killed and the rivers run red because they have no oil. When your boss is an oil man and says go... I made an oath to do what he says to do. I vote Republican, mainly because I know that will keep my paycheck. But I did like the fact that the Democrats almost had the budget balanced. I don’t like it that the country is spending money it doesn’t have . "We are now under a condition on base where e-mail and internet is very limited or has been cut off. It happens when someone is killed or wounded. They cut off most communication until the next of kin is notified. Usually it’s only a couple of hours sometimes it’s a day or so. So if your e-mail is returned,or you don’t hear from me in a while, that may be the reason why. As for why we are in that condition now, I have no clue. It’s a Marine thing, we are just tenants here." Things that make ya go hmmmm. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
