I have french doors, not curtains. If I had curtains, they'd be butter gold.

Beige wonderfiber, that stuff that all car seats are made out of if you can't afford or tolerate leather.

Yes, Toby. She came to us when a guy across the alley couldn't keep her. She was a bodacious dyke of a cat.

A letter to a parent of one of my students.

My sister's husband's brother and his family.

A teal 1993 SUbaru Legacy wagon, obtained free from the parental units when they bought an '04 Outback. I totalled it, and now drive a 2000 Outback. They rock.

I don't think I've even been in a state where there was a Six Flags.

One of me with my two oldest nieces at "Mom and Me at the Zoo" in probably 1995. We have lizards painted on our faces.

The Cajun made me chili about a week or so ago.

I went on food stamps once for several months during grad school. Then they got wise to my ineligibility (having a BA is an automatic disqualifier, apparently) and I just went to the food bank. I got over it.

Usually 4-6 per day at home, up to 25 at work.

Last September, from a union member who was thanking me for helping her successfully grieve improper treatment by our school board.

Three very small ones (lest you think I was extravagant and had three large ones).

Half and half almost always. On occasion, a flavor such as hazelnut or almond or caramel.

Don't know what those are.

The Woodway Warriors. But our high schools merged, so now I am confused.

Roxane, at my 40th birthday party.

Hardly use it, but I did last Friday at school. There's a lot of flu going around.

35. Would you like to learn to play the drums?
Sort of. I have strong musical skills in harmony and melody, and rhythm is my weakest one. I guess I wouldn't want to be a drummer, just take lessons to improve my rhythmic ability.

36. What color are the blinds in your living room?
No blinds. Just French doors that open to a view of Colvos Passage.

37. What is in your inbox at work?
There is no inbox, just the pile. I have no idea what's there, I just address the pile when I arrive each day.

Something about a guy who got busted for not paying cigarette taxes and now is having his wages garnisheed by the government. He owes $8K.

Pageants give me hives. But I liked watching the one in "Little Miss Sunshine".

Rock Island, also known here as The Rock. Not to be confused with The (actual) Rock, the chain of rock-n-roll pizza chain in Washington state, which is also quite good.

I received and proubly wore a tiara on my 40th birthday.

Most of the time. I can overcome it if a lover is taking his sweet time and touching me carefully.

Must have been Fourth of July, but I was underwhelmed, because I can't remember what they looked like. The last time I remember what they looked like was at the Celebration of Light a few summers back in Vancouver, BC.

About two months ago, in Tacoma. I have two a year.
