Aligning the Xi, Sorta

Right now, my body feels calm. I am sitting on my grandfather's oak chair, at my kitsch kitchen table. I just put lotion and night socks on my feet. I am avoiding doing the dishes. The house is mellow.

It's 7:45pm and I want to go to bed. Sure, I'll admit that the time change might have something to do with it, but you know, I really just want to see if I will sleep well again!

I did the right things today. Didn't overeat. Exercised. Kept my attitude positive. Took things in stride. Took out the recycling.

I think I will also spend 15 minutes on my xi ('chee') machine - it's a funny little machine you put your feet on and it shakes your legs back and forth. It sounds corny, and who knows if there is any scientific evidence that it does anything substantive, but it does make my legs feel nice and energized. It also seems to loosen up my hips, and goodness knows I need that. (No snickering; it's true.)

I won't predict what I'll do tomorrow, because I'm here now. And I'm feeling good.
