2007-05-27 1:06 PM A little or a lot accomplished Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (0) Hung out with my mom, dad, brother and sis-in-law in Arlington. I was supposed to go on a fabulous ride to Oregon with the Vixens, but my left fork started leaking, and I didn't want to go that far with compromised equipment. Sigh.
But, here in Hicksville (lovely, tolerable, quiet Hicksville), I accomplished much: John painted my helmet (pics to come), I painted a cupboard for my mom, and I made homemade chicken soup and chicken salad sandwiches for everyone's lunch today. The predicted "decent" weather did not materialize, and I anticipate a damp (if not wet) ride back to the Island. Ugh. Oh well, it's not that far. Unless you consider 100 miles far. At home, there are bills to pay and laundry to do and hair to be colored (trying medium brown instead of ash brown, this time), papers to file, coatracks to be hung, and miscellaneous household items to be organized. My putter needs must be fulfilled. And they will be. School starts June 4th and I'm gearing up. I've purchased a gallon of massage gel ($42!), sheets, etc. I'm getting my business license, not because I can practice (illegal until the certificate's in hand), but because I can buy needful things like sarongs and massage toys wholesale. Supidy cheap, ya know. I think I will sell sarongs and the like if people want them. I love them, and they are the best thing for lounging around in warm weather. Then when it gets cold out, they are great scarves. They also carry stuff when you're camping, cover stuff when you're on the bike, and can be used as a towel. Rayon is a fantastic fabric. I promise not to hang them everywhere and turn Port-au-Patois into Hippie Heaven. It's close enough already. I'm still exhausted, but less so. We'll see how the new meds work. If I'm still feeling this way in 2 weeks, my naturopath is going to give me thyroid hormone. Can't really hurt, if I'm being monitored. I just want to feel alert again. But you knew that.
