2007-07-27 7:17 PM Tired, but kickin' Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (0) I got to sleep at 3am today. That's right, today. I left Donkee's place in time to catch the ferry at 11:40pm. There was some weird hold up at the dock, and the ferry left in haste. We later found out it was due to there being a medical emergency on the Island.
So, no big deal, I can wait until 12:25am, the published sailing time for the next boat. I played with iWeb, mocking up a website for my eventual business. The boat arrived and left on time. My head was buried in web building. About 25 minutes later, we docked. Something wasn't quite right. We had gone first to the other destination on the ferry run, because many people bound for that destination had not been loaded on the previous sailing. Still, I'm eyeball-deep in iWeb, but getting pretty tired. We finally arrived at my dock at 1:30am. Yes, almost 2 hours late. Ugh. I was pretty wired up from the night's vitriolic email/phone situation, as well as from massaging after a full dinner and two beers (no, I did not drink and drive). I watched an episode of Six Feet Under, ate pizza and chocolate-chip cookie dough on the couch, and crashed at 3am. Me, the girl who gets a bit worried when I get to bed after 9pm. I woke bright and early, around 7am, when my pineal gland could no longer deny the light coming through the french doors. I hadn't studied for my kinesiology test. I wasn't really awake, and I definitely wasn't going back to sleep. I chatted with the Cajun a while, ate breakfast, packed up, and got on the boat. My massage was good. I had just enough time to eat too much McShit (cheeseburger, McChicken, and the new BBQ chipotle snack wrap - don't get one). No time to study. And then, bodhichitta came home. My instructor allowed us to group in threes to take the test together. It was a blessing, and my group got 97%. My karma's just effing fine, thank you very much. And now, dinner, a Mike's Hard Lime, and a serious crash. Two hikes this weekend! Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
