I started working out on my elliptical trainer again. So far, so good. And there's swimming. I have a friend at school that wants to do swimming, but it's not in her budget. I want to buy her a swim pass, but that could be too much. I want to BE friends, not BUY friends.

Midterm today. Will be moderately painful, but soon over.

I was picking up work on Friday doing sign language interpreting, but the student does not prefer me, and so that gig is over. Within reason, students can choose interpreters that fit their communication style and adequately represent them. I guess this student didn't feel I met their criteria. (I'm using improper pronouns to keep student info more generic and private.) I guess this student can be difficult to provide services for. I only took it personally for about half a day, and now am just looking forward to the coordinator's feedback about what the student found incompatible. I know my work was at least adequate. I'm not the world's best interpreter, but for the situation I was in, I was more than skilled enough. Again, fussy student.

Busy weekend, and now an open Friday...to rehearse my Michelle Shocked songs for tomorrow night.
