2008-01-12 4:54 PM Daughterly Duties. Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (0) I had a great day puttering with mom. We bought Subway sandwiches. I got my car aligned. She went to the post office and the True Value. We covered her outdoor faucets with those styrofoam covers. We threw out three boxes worth of magazines that are supposed to tell her how to be more organized and reduce the clutter in her life. (Oh, sweet irony.) We talked about how best to organize her office. She's got plenty of storage space in her garage, so I'm trying to get her to use that, so that what's actually in the house is the stuff she uses regularly.
Mom got a massage from yours truly, I got gas money (it's 180 miles round trip to see her), and Dad got to sit in front of the TV all damn day watching Westerns. Everyone happy. Just like a family day should be. And I hear rumor that I'm having dinner with The Commish. And his son. Daughter's at a sleepover. Scout's hungry.
