My lovely building is served by two water lines. Apparently, the one that serves my unit is the one with the break. Because the apartment below me is gutted, and the other below that is unoccupied, I am the only one affected by the ongoing water issues.

My landlady, rather than reverting to her potentially nasty self, actually went to the grocery store and bought me 5 gallons of drinking water. I can use salt water to clear my toilet bowl.

The plumber is coming on Sunday, I hear. And if not, Monday. As long as I have water, I'm fine. I don't mind, really. I like to rough it once in a while. The neighbor is going to let me shower and do laundry at her place.
