I'm going to have to ease into the new timestream. I'm still checking my phone, trying to make calls, attempting to access the internet via wi-fi (which should theoretically work, but somehow won't), and processing squirrel thoughts and monkey brain madness.

Ah, the monkey brain.

I have tried my phone on all corners of this property, and it just won't work. I knew that coming in, but I thought maybe, just maybe, I could find that secret place where the beneficent vortex would bless me with contact. No go.

There is free wi-fi here, and for that I am eternally grateful. It works great down here near the office, and I hope it will work in the upper field when I move there.

So, all communication these days will have to be IM (lazykittyranch on yahoo IM), email, or blog comment. It will be interesting to somewhat divest myself of my phone, and to readjust my schedule into "morning, midday, evening, night" as opposed to down-to-the-minute scheduling.

I'm staying in the hostel, in the private room that locks. That's a cool thing. Then on Sunday or Monday I can move into my cabin, Dreambox. It's little, but it's private. I'm seeing if CoffeeBoy (detente, remember) wants to come up and help. Help, heh.

And now I'm going to watch LOST online. I love wi-fi.
