The day is nearly done

I have, since the last post, eaten a Doe Bay salad, followed by a custom-cooked meal of scallops, pan-seared in browned butter, with the pan deglazed with white wine, then set upon penne pasta topped with roasted garlic and parmesan. It was the kitchen's way of saying happy birthday. I had a lovely B&G Fumé Blanc, and for dessert a Fuji apple galette with cinnamon whipped cream.

They love me here. I hope you meet them if you come to my party on the 27th. If you don't, well, just believe me that I work with some very nice people.

And now, to bed alone.

Not every wish comes true on your birthday, you know.
