The next three weeks will be action-packed and exciting.

Between now and my surgery, a mere 11 days away, I will be packing everything I own in preparation for the move to my new farmhouse. Surgery. Move. Home ownership. A month off of work.

In my usual fashion, I will work out as many details as possible before I am down for a while.

I’m ready for quiet nights in the house, with kitties and tea and a good book. The sound of the taverns across the street from my apartment are getting old. I’m all for a good time, but man, am I looking forward to quiet evenings and fewer streetlights.

The garage-y building was giving me trouble, because I couldn’t find a word for it. Garage? Garden shed? Outbuilding? And today it hit me: workshop. Yay! Tools go there, the bike goes there, the motorcycle goes there, a workbench goes there. Amen! It’s called The Workshop!

The bed linens are packed according to color and which room they’ll go in. Ditto the curtains and rugs.

Between now and my surgery, a mere 11 days away, I will have 5 days off to wrap up everything.

I can do it.
