Tonight is the Vampire Lestat Ball otherwise known as Ann Rice's Halloween party. Some of you will remember that I promised Miss Teen that I would go with her and that my sister is also coming to keep me company. We had a discussion about costumes earlier in the month.

The final, (at least as of now), decision on costumes is that my sister and I are going as Stepford Wife Vampires. This is because the German Barmaid costume was toooo short, the zipper broke and I just don't want to wear the leiderhosen. (We were going as a gay German couple with my sister as the buxom barmaid and me as the short haired dikey/dykey leiderhosen clad date.)

I am more comfortable with the Stepford Wife thing and certainly have the clothes thanks to having to attend *functions* as a doctor/doctor's wife.

Meanwhile, Miss Teen is wearing a beautiful long gown that I wore to a Mardi Gras ball 30 pounds ago and one of my best friends wore to Clinton's first inauguration ball. That dress has certainly gotten its money's worth of use.
