1) Do you observe Advent in your church?

Yes. Advent wreath, purple liturgical color (although I like the blue better that we used in my old parish), Advent hymns, No Christmas Songs, the whole Lent Lite.

2) How about at home?
We light the candles on the advent wreath for about half of Advent.

O Come O Come Emma-a-an-u-el, And Ransomed Captive I-i-is-ra-el

4) Why is one of the candles in the Advent wreath pink? (You may tell the truth, but I'll like your answer better if it's funny.)

Some of the purple ones have to be saved for Mardi Gras

5) What's the funniest/kitschiest Advent calendar you've ever seen?

We have one that has musical instruments for each day. The funny part is that the cats always pull them off the velcro tree and bat them around the house. By Christmas, most of the instruments are gone awol.
