The storm has come and gone. I spent part of my shift in Knotts Island and part of it on the mainland. The storm wasn't bad for us, not like those poor souls in Flordia. We had some strong wind guts and heavy rain for a bit, but thats about it. John and the kids lost cable then shortly after power. I think it was out maybe 3 hours, maybe a little longer. Everyone around here fared well, at least as far as I've heard this morning.

Wayne moves to his dads this weekend, that's going to be so hard for everyone, I hate to see him go, he's going to be missed dearly. Jodi is really going to miss him, more than me, I think. But it will be good for him, it makes sense, and I would rather have him living at his dads that in the dorms at college.

Anyway, everything is fine in my wet corner of the world.
