Strange duck, new to town,
Rests at end of piling field,
Planning his trip south.
Dull gray rumpled sky.
Red tug churning wild white froth
On flat green river.
Traffic's roar, waves, wind --
Single leaf drops from tree branch,
Whispers across walk.
