I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us! |

2009-07-21 8:40 PM Iron Chef Spent the morning in Kitchen Stadium, in the on-stage audience at a taping of "Iron Chef America." Kitchen Stadium is actually the Food Network's Chelsea studio, Iron Chef is the brainchild and on-going project of my cousin, who co-produces and directs, and today's secret ingredient was -- no way I'm going to spill it! Had loads of fun watching this immense TV production. At base are real chefs producing real amazing food against a real one-hour deadline; but the battle wouldn't be fun without the flash and hullabaloo. The play-by-play is a riot; the smells, which are the part you don't get on TV, are enticing and terrific; and for you folks who watch the show, the Chairman is absolutely adorable when he's not wearing his game face. A completely entertaining day off.
