Silver olive leaves
Reach sunward, arch over grass
Grateful for the shade.
Three pigeons, tiled slope.
Flap, strut, peck, tiptoe, ignore.
Each one owns the roof.
Faint breeze rustles leaves.
Motorbikes putt-putt uphill.
Door creaks open, shut.
