I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us! |

2010-01-22 2:48 PM And speaking of bad news Someone explain to me why, if I believe in free speech, I'm supposed to think the Supreme Court decision to allow corporations to pour unlimited money into political advertising is a good thing? The Wall Street Journal tried, but all I could see was a special-interest hawker tying himself into knots. Corporations aren't people, though in many aspects of the law they're treated like people. They're made up of people, each of whom has the right to give money to candidates, to PACs, to campaigns. Now stockholders in corporations get two voices, and I only have one, and that's free speech?
