I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us! |

2010-02-10 6:35 PM Snowpocalypse I'm not all that impressed.
Maybe I'm a snow snob, having lived in both Cleveland and Buffalo. But the blizzard conditions -- strong winds, blowing snow, whiteout -- haven't materialized. It's just been to warm all day, right around 32, and the snow's been too wet. So it's accumulated, and slogging's difficult, but all in all, it's not as mind-bending as what happened in DC, Virginia, and Philly over the weekend. The problems, if there are any, will come tonight, when the temperature drops and all this thick wet snow that's been piling onto tree branches and power lines freezes. I've been in and out three times today. Each time, I shook the snow from the bending branches of our evergreens out front. Good luck to all the trees. Here are some photos of the neighborhood, to entertain yourselves with. snowplows ready neighbor, child, dog, and seagull pipe the apple store had no customers, but the staff was ready my bench at dusk Read/Post Comments (7) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
