I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us! |

2010-09-01 5:22 PM About that speech The Prez, last night. Ask me, he gets an A for content, a B for delivery -- and a C- for prose. Where oh where are the speechwriters of yesteryear? This Prez gave poetic speeches, sometimes fiery, sometimes lyrical, always worth a listen, all through the campaign and the first few months in. I know you're not all behind the message, but I still am. But where are the writers? The military is the steel in the ship of state??? Who WROTE that? In fact, I might have to change his delivery grade to an A- for saying it with a straight face.
