I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us! |

2011-04-11 5:16 PM On the Asian but unserious tip Okay, had to take time out for this. You may or may not know it, but the situations of Hong Kong and Singapore being somewhat similar -- self-contained cities vying to become the west's gateway to Asia -- there's a rivalry between them. Recently a Singaporean rock star made a video, posted it to Youtube. It was answered by a group from Hong Kong (calling themselves the Wokstarz). I found all this on the blog of the inimitable Nury Vittachi. Go to the Singaporean one first (link in the 2nd paragraph), then click on the HK one. Each is about 4 minutes.
